WHAT’S SOUP SWAP ALL ABOUT?
Soup is delicious: And it is a symbol forrestoring internal balance and well-being
Sharing is caring: Not only is soup universally associated with comfort, care, and healing, it also serves a very functional need - feeding yourself and your family.
It’s one of our oldest traditions: Did you know that Archaeological evidence suggests that the very first bowl of soup may have been cooked as early as 20,000 BC?
Fall is the season for all things cozy.
Why?
Step 1: Everyone makes 1 soup and brings to share.
Step 2: Taste the soups, mingle vote, and win prizes!
Step 3: Take home a container all the different soups to share with your families and freeze for later.
The Gist:
Your Soup: Bring hot in a crockpot or already cooled in Mason Jars, ready for guests to take home - whatever is easiest for you. You can warm some on the stove at Amelia’s for the taste testing. If your soup requires toppings, bring those for the taste test.
A ladle: Amelia will have extras, but if you can bring one - amazing!
Soup Recipe Card: It can be handwritten or typed, but it’s for everyone to photograph so they can make themselves, too!
Do you want to come, but not make soup? That works, too! Just bring a dessert, beverage or dish to share.
