The (Surprised) Human Parents

Mikaila (Frida’s mom) & Amelia (Bear’s mom) have been best friends since they were 8. Cross-country moves, shared holidays, and lots of adventures inbetween. They always dreamed of raising their families next door to each other, but the universe had other plans…and apparently, so did their dogs.

Frida & Bear are healthy, loving, well-socialized and hypo-allergenic bernedoodles, a cross of Bernese Mountain Dog and Poodle. They eat only the best food, love kids and other dogs, and bring joy to everyone they meet.

Their puppies (F2 bernedoodles) will carry the same low-shedding, gentle, whip-smart traits the breed is known for. On top of that, they are eager to please, so they are great listeners and well trained.

These puppies will be raised with care, curiosity, and a healthy amount of chaos. We're vetting families personally. These babies deserve the very best.

Your Questions, Answered

  • Both Frida and Bear are bernedoodles — a cross between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle. Their puppies are F2 bernedoodles, meaning second-generation. They're not "purebred" in the traditional registry sense, but both parents are healthy, well-documented bernedoodles with the temperament and traits the breed is loved for: low-shedding, gentle, intelligent, and great with families.

  • We won’t really know until Frida has the puppies. Per Frida’s X-ray on June 15 and the vet said 7-9 puppies. She said it’s just an estimate based on the x-ray and date that her and Bear “tied” together. Bernedoodle litters typically range from 3 to 8 puppies. That said, Frida was 1 of 13 and Bear was 1 of 10 - so we shall see! We'll confirm the count once Frida gives birth and everyone is healthy, and we'll reach out to our interest list at that point. The vet also shared that statsitically, in a litter of 8, 6 with “thrive” and we may even lose a puppy upon birth.

  • Frida had an X-ray on June 15 and the vet said 7-9 puppies could be born in 2 weeks. She said it’s just an estimate based on the x-ray and date that her and Bear “tied” together.
